AniridiaNet COST Actions #18116 members and participants got together for the Action’s Final MC/WG meeting taking place at Fondazione Banca degli Occhi del Veneto Onlus, last 29th and 30th June 2023. A highly successful meeting that gathered ophthalmologist, researchers, trainees, industry and patient’s organizations to discuss recent advancements and to foster collaborations for further research in the field of aniridia. Harmonized clinical protocols, aniridia pathophysiology, clinical translation tips, post-transplant immunosuppression and MSCs for eye diseases are some of the topics covered during this networking event.

This meeting owes its success to our network’s members devoting their expertise and efforts to provide the action with outstanding resources and outcomes stimulating collaboration and research and aniridia patients. We would like to express many thanks to all attendees and, in particular to Dr. Stefano Ferrari and his team for their invaluable help with the organization.
